Forest Hill

Designed for a secluded hill in a wooded valley in Central Kenya, this hypothetical Conservation Investor home for Lolldaiga Valley aims to demonstrate how a building can embrace the Intiative’s required building design conditions by responding to the landscape and building in and around existing vegetation.
Status: Concept Design
The building’s mass is dissolved into a series of smaller dedicated spaces, allowing the home to step gracefully down the hill across a series of terraces, which follow the natural contours of the landscape.
Shaded courtyards built around existing vegetation create intimate, sheltered spaces for family gatherings with views out towards the wider landscape.
